“ One of the best spots on the island. Our favorite cafe in Hilo! Huge portions with tasty food. We love the Katsu chicken, Korean chicken and purple sweet potato salad. Kids are a big fan of their french fries (crispy). The fresh salad is HUGE so do check the portion size before ordering unless you want to take leftovers home. ”

“ Finally tried White Guava Cafe, and boy were we missing out by not coming in for many years! Hubby's Fried Ono was plentiful, non-oily, and delectable! My Oyster Chicken was crunchy on the outside, yet perfectly tender on the inside. I ordered vegetable salad to go with it & the salad was super fresh and copious! I was very pleased, (because I need to eat more greens but am too lazy to make salad at home). Also, their homemade Potato salad was super flavorful! Now I know where to keep coming for lunch! Waitress let us sample their original various salad sauces too! She was friendly, upbeat & attentive. Cafe is clean, chairs are comfortable! Bonus is it's conveniently next to our favorite supermarket KTA! Definitely returning and being regular patrons here! ”

“ The space emits 'this used to be a pizza hut' type vibe. But the food says otherwise. The korean chicken is top-notch. The side salad could feed a horse. I am afraid to see the XL salad. Also tried the coconut currey, which was delicious, but didn't compare to the amazingness of the fried chicken. The service was fast and friendly. When we were seated immediately served ice waters and dinner rolls with cream cheese. I ate all for dinner rolls, nobody else wanted them and I wasn't going to let that go to waste. It is a little bit strange to throw that bread and cream cheese down right off the hop tbh, especially considering picky eaters may be present (ahem). And the salad sizes must not be underestimated. "Hydroponically grown letttuce". Sounds pretty good but food costs are apparently of no concern. I say five stars, if you have a healthy appetite and love huge salads this is your spot! ”

“ Rolled into Hilo jonesing for some Hawaiian grub. Found this place and it was just what we were looking for. The veggie Cavewoman went for the Coconut Vegan Curry with white rice and a locally sourced green salad as her choice of sides. On the recommendation of Tisha, our amazing server, I went with the Spicy Korean Boneless Fried Chicken Thighs with white rice and Potato Mac Salad as my sides. Mine was so good! I also tasted the Vegan Curry and, despite my status as a confirmed carnivore, could easily have been happy with that as my meal. Can't wait to return and try some of their other goodies! ”

“ Very casual dining area. But the service was friendly and the food was great. The portion size on the "regular" was still really good. The hours are a bit odd. They include tax in the listed price, which is awesome. I wish more places did that. ”
